Another way of multitasking.

This morning I found out that I can still multitask although it is quite different than what I used to do before
1. My knees hurt so I thought I´d put on the tens.
2. I fixed everything except the thingies that stick to my knees. But the battery was already on so I had to hurry with everything.
3. At that moment I thought that I should go to the bathroom first so that I would not have to interrump the session. So I left everything working so to say "in the air" and went to the bathroom.
4. When I got out I remembered that after all I had only had a mug of coffee in the morning. I went to the kitchen to get another one.
5. In the kitchen I remembered that I hadn´t had breakfast either. So, very guiltily, I cut some goat cheese and placed it in a piece of bread.
6. But I don´t like to eat in my bedroom because ants can come to get the crumbs. So I ate the sandwich in the dining room.
7. And finally I´m here, mylotting while the tens is working.
8. I could do better and watch TV too. But I´m watching again Downton Abbey and that requires concentration. We are now on WWI. The Abbey is turned into a place for wounded soldiers.
Who says that multitasking is not possible? As I am possitive, I WILL NOT cry for all the time the battery was working while I was elsewhere. And if I get a thousand replies to this post and I comment them and so on, I might replace the battery in a thousand years.

I read a recent scientific report that says nobody multitasks well, no matter what they think. Every time somebody tries to multitask, their brain resets for each task, wasting time and getting small things wrong... It would have been faster and more efficient to do one task at a time.4 people like this

I could have told them that. Multi-tasking is a myth, it takes less time to do each task one after another, unless you count things like having the washing machine do the washing while you do something else, but of course that isn't really doing something yourself.

I did it all perfectly well
. I put on the tens (finished it now), ate some breakfast and have half a coffee almost cold at my side because I was mylotting
and I did not pee on my bed.

@Fleura I had started placing the tens on my knees when I discovered all I had not done first. Besides, as I live alone, I life to make fun of myself once in a while. It is healthy.

It's good you multi-tasked. being able to do all those things. For me, I could only do three task simultaneously: Listening to music, surfing and MyLotting, and washing clothes using the machine. That's okay with me because It's less stressful. Enjoy the rest of your week, as you multitask. 3 people like this

I usually mylot while I watch the news. If there is something worthwhile, I look up. But I can´t mylot AND watch a serial I want to watch, even if I´m watching it for the second time.

@shaggin The therapist told me that I could use it in any part of my body. I´m thinking about placing it on my back when it hurts.

Yes. I bought it several years ago when I has shoulder surgery for rotary cuff. I had it in the closet and now it is living a second life.

Love that tens unit, don’t you! I’m having lunch, taking my medications, and myLotting. My tens unit has rechargeable batteries (came with them and a charger).

It is wonderful. And the best for me now is that I bought it so many years ago that I feel that it is free. I just had to buy a new battery and the sticky ends. I will check later if I can buy a battery charger and a battery that can be charged.

Of course not. There´s a saying in my country that at a certain age you cannot climb stairs and chew gum at the same time. I cannot climb stairs at all. And thinking about it, I stopped chewing gum many years ago too.

I learned to multitask early in life so, unless I am I feel a bit on edge.
I recall that part of Downton Abbey. Good Show. I'd like to see the more recent movie.

I am sure that it is awesome that I could get all that done in my conditions. I even managed to eat several vegetarian meals during the day.

It seems that there are always a lot of things to do when you want to sit down and get something accomplished. My husband needs to use his TENS. I doubt he even knows where it is.
