Here it is Friday again! The very best day of the week as far as I am concerned.
It is a very cold start to the day today here. The air feels quite damp, which makes it feel colder than it actually is. There is a chance of freezing rain tomorrow morning, before it changes to just rain. That does not sound great.
My hubby is home today as our daughter-in-law has a day off of work for a dental appointment. He is going to enjoy a quiet at home day, which he has only had a couple of since he retired. He has a jigsaw puzzle that he is working on and he will likely work on that while I work in my home office.
I thought it might be a nice change to eat out for supper tonight, and I suggested it to him. He said that would be fine. But as I think about it, they have things set up so wonderfully for pick up, that maybe we should do that. I still worry about covid as well as other germs that float around. But bringing the food home to eat does greatly take away from the experience of eating out together, don't you agree?

We still aren't eating out because Covid is still a possibility here... Have a good Friday.

@DaddyEvil I have not been to someone's home in over 3 years due to covid, except for outdoor gatherings. We have dined out on patios also, but dining inside is just not something that we are really easy with just yet. We wore our masks until we were seated at the table, although nobody else walked in with masks on, but that is their personal choice.

@Juliaacv We have a friend who owns a Chinese restaurant... I called him a few months ago and talked with him for a little while and then told him we really wanted Springfield style Cashew Chicken... which is one of the things he makes in the restaurant. It was around noon so he asked if we could wait until he closed and then go to his house for dinner. He and his wife made cashew chicken for us for dinner and wouldn't let us pay them. It was really nice of them.

We ordered Chinese on Saturday and brought it home.
Rosie is quite interesting.
They have an ipad on the table that you just scroll through the menu items and if you are ordering from the buffet you choose the quantity of items and place the order and within a couple of minutes Rosie brings it by. You need not get in line and share serving utensils, which we know can be very unsanitary.

I do agree. I have been eating out since restaurants were re opened and have never gotten the least bit ill. Too bad it isn't warmer, because then you could sit outside making it that much safer. Covid isn't a huge problem in this area, I don't know how it is there.

We tend to try to stick to dining out on outdoor patios only, and it is far too cold for that right now.
The owner gave us a table off to the side, which was far enough from the other tables that we both felt safe, he came by a few times to visit. He is such a joker, he brought us extra napkins as my hubby had ribs and at one point after dropping those off at the table, he came back, and picked up a napkin and began to wipe hubby's hand. We both just laughed with him. He looks so relieved and happy that people are going back out to dine, he is a people person and loves to see people dining in.

@RebeccasFarm We both wore our masks until we were seated at our table.
We are just really cautious, we have had all of our shots, but still there is so little known about covid.

It's nice once and a while to eat out and get waited on! No dishes to wash either.
