A walk, a bowl of oatmeal, and a mug of coffee

Cooper and I got out there and got a little over a mile walk in at about 12:00 noon.
I had already cooked my Scotch oats with raisins and walnuts. I dished up a portion and reheated it in the microwave with a little bit of butter and brown sugar. I did not realize that the half and half in my refrigerator had soured beyond wanting to use it.
And now there's a mug of coffee in one of my favorite mugs--Big Sis Little Sis--designed and ordered for me by my sister, @SonjaRae.
Now, Cooper is sleeping after he ate. I have a couple of things to get done after I finish my coffee, and he will let me do something other than tend to him by taking him out for more walking! LOL
I hope you're having a great day!

Oh, what a neat coffee mug! Good job, Sonja...
Fairly quiet day so far here. (I said that in a whisper!) Hopefully, it will stay that way. No sun again, another gray and drizzly day, but it is warmer than it's been, so I will take it.
I love cooked oatmeal with raisins and bit of dark brown sugar. One of the best breakfasts ever. I refuse to eat instant oatmeal, I just think it doesn't taste very good.

Yes, real oats cooked on the stove in a pan, not instant flakes in the microwave. There is no comparison.
Every once in a while, I have oatmeal with dried cranberries and a few walnuts. Very good!

I hear that we can use that to make into baking items, but there's still something about that smell of soured milk or cream that just turns my stomach.

Thank you. I'm trying to stay around and get things done. That's too easy to get distracted and leave.

Thanks!
It was so soured that I didn't feel it was able to be used in baking, as some do. It made me gag to smell

@TheSojourner Well now it's Wednesday! This morning I'm cooking whatever I can and will be delivering some of it to my mom. The rain has stopped for now, so depending on what happens after lunch, maybe we'll go for a short walk. And then it'll be time to pick up the kids!

@much2say so do you cook on Wednesdays and then bring enough for your mom all week?
What's on the menu board for the week?

@JimBo452020 I certainly think so. We just went on another walk, and he just finished his dinner and is wiping his whiskers all over the bottom of my couch. LOL

I bet the soured half and half will go into pancakes or something. It would at my house. You are doing well with you walking.

It might have been okay, but I gagged, when I opened it up. I didn't want to risk it.

She designed it so that there was the short hair and the long hair mine was Black coffee, hers was more of a coffee drink.
It is the perfect size mug for me and I'm able to get my whole hand of the four fingers through the handle, and I absolutely love it.

I do a little at a time. Not as much as I'd hoped for, but better than nothing!
