The year we got our fridge years ago there is nothing that I did not try. The first thing that I tried was Jelly I got the jelly crystals and followed recipes. Recipe was very simple. Pour the crystals in hot water, add enough sugar and pour it in molds. I later tried making layers of different flavours and got accolades from guests not excluding my husband. Fridge was like a toy for me trying out everything that needed freezing and cooling Be it blamanche, ice cream, mouse, puddings, juices the works What's your story? In my childhood, I liked to eat jelly, and I had no experience making jelly.

@allknowing There's gelatin in the jelly, so I won't eat it anymore

I haven't had it for quite a long time. Besides, my son is not interested in sweets very much. So I don't buy it at all as in some cases it can lead to accidents to little children.

@allknowing Yes, this is strange. At least he is not interested in it. But I love sweets. I remember when we were in Singapore airport and there were free candies there, I told my son to get some for me since it would be embarrassing for an adult to get the candies

Jelly here comes as concentrated cubes which you dissolve in hot water then leave to set. I used to love making and eating jelly as a child. Now my girls don't like it so we never have it.

Here we get it in crystal form with sugar but that sugar is not enough and so I always add a bit more and even add bits of fruits. Modern generation I see has different tastes.

I make jelly if I have an access of fruit or berries. I made muscadine jam last year when I found muscadine vines down by the creek.

With the jelly crystals we get here, you don't need to add sugar. It's certainly a simple dessert to make.
