Mangoes are in season now but our mango trees are a bit slow We have four and we see mangoes only on two and yet to mature
Our past history has been good We got to eat, distribute and even sell.
Mangoes are versatile. They can be eaten, one can make jam, juice, raw mangoes are used to make pickle, and there is a thing called mango saat where ripe mango pulp is spread on mats and dried in the sun and cut into pieces and used throughout the year
What's your mango story?

I like mangoes. Those are what we call apple mangoes, which are not too sour to eat. I am not too much on unripe ones but I like nicely ripe mangoes. We usually turn them into fruit juices or simply slice them for dessert after a meal. Sometimes, my granddaughter eats it with rice and nothing else and she enjoys them. May I know where you use the mango pulps for? Thank you.

I like mangos. Many years ago when I was young, my parents had one of those ice cream makers. I remember once that my Mom made mango ice cream with extra Mangoes that she had gotten on sale. It was very tasty.

I once bought dried mango, which is very sweet.
I have eaten mango several times, but I don't usually eat mango because it's a bit expensive here.Another problem is that eating mangoes is more troublesome, requiring peeling and holding mango juice that can stick to your hands. If it's cheap and easy to eat, I'll eat it often.

Slow this season? I know you have always been in abundance of mangoes . . . I wonder what is going on this year. Our stores seem to have it all year round - the last few I've gotten were pretty good. At the beginning of the pandemic, we experimented with planting the seeds . . . now we have 3 growing in pots (they will probably never fruit though).

@allknowing We have been getting less citrus in the past couple years . . . very odd. I hope your mangoes catch up soon! We have not planted our mangoes in the ground because they said it may grow huge - we don't have that kind of room. Yah, in pots it will be manageable, but yah, probably no fruit.

Mangoes are the only thing that makes me wait for summer other than the long vacation
. I love mangoes in all preparations. Yesterday, my niece bought some aam saat. There were stalls in her college campus selling handmade crafts and food items.
