Son2 and GF went home this morning before lunch. I spent part of the morning doing the annual maintenance and services on the lawn mower. Later in the morning, K mowed the small patch of our backyard that has grass. I worked for a little while on edits and revisions on my next book. My level of concentration was terrible. I don't think I managed to finish one chapter. Lunch was leftover pizza. This afternoon, I'm chilling out in my recliner watching documentaries on FreeVee. The first was on the advent of British radar in the 1930s and how it helped the Royal Air Force defeat the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain. The second, which I'm watching now, is on the development of the Supermarine Spitfire and the role it played in World War II. I enjoy learning about these behind-the-scenes stories about the equipment used in the war, especially the aircraft. Do you enjoy learning about history?

So do I. The Indian code talkers is one of my favorite stories , and how the US. won the battle of Normandy is another one.

@DWDavis One of my nephew in laws is the great great grandson of one of the code talkers. He’s part Indian and has visited the reservations where the code talker lived.

No, not really. But, then again, I never liked education in general. Lazy Sundays are good.

I like to watch on the streaming services on You Tube, the stories of evil leaders during World War II and the battles during World War II during the evening hours.

Oh yes I love history and anyway it's really important that we learn from it! And yes those behind-the-scenes stories that only come to light after the fact are fascinating.
