4/3/23 - Update and I Miss You!

Computer - Dell has tried each and every solution to allow me to access websites; but I am still getting the message: "Privacy Error"....and in doing all the resets and restores that they had me do, I have now lost my copy of my Microsoft Office Suite (which I paid for when I bought the computer) AND I no longer have Windows on my laptop (which I purchased after I bought the computer). They are supposed to call me again today. Oh, by the way, I also sent in my computer to Dell Repair; and they didn't address the error at all. They just downloaded a new copy of the operating system.
Doctors and Dentists - I had a dentist appointment recently. I finally gave in and will get a crown put on one of my teeth...under protest. If it ain't broke, don't fix it is how I feel; but the dentist says it must be done. Hubs has had a ton of doctors' appointments. I'm going to have to make a list of doctors, what their specialty is, phone number and address to keep them straight.
I think Dell should send me a new computer! This has been going on since around March 10. I will never catch up here.
Miss all of you and can't wait until I can communicate properly with you again!
Weather - I hope everyone survived the horrible weather we have been having. I think about all of you in the paths of the storms.

It is great to see you back again, too bad about the computer and the crown.
I remember you have had issues with your computer for quite a long time now, but I do not remember how they started, so I cannot comment on if I think that Dell should give you a new computer.

I would start asking them to replace it. Sounds like something is going bad inside it. Glad to hear from you and know you are okay

Missed talking to you. It turns out it was a problem with a corrupted certificate on the part of the marketing people that own the little box that monitors my web browsing!!!

So sorry about all this aggravation! I didn't see this post and was concerned that I hadn't read any posts of yours lately. I can understand why! Are you any closer to getting it all fixed?

I had a root canal done on my top center tooth many years ago. Crown was never done. My new dentist said I need to do a crown. Heck no! My tooth has been fine all these years. And my original dentist didn’t do it. Why?
The computer drama sucks. Wish I could help you somehow. Bummer that I can’t. Can’t believe the experts can’t figure it out.

@LindaOHio That is what I want to know. The dentist that did my root canal was not a rookie. If it was absolutely necessary he would've done it I think. Unless I didn't have dental insurance at the time and he didn't do it because it would cost a lot.

It took someone from Netgear to figure out the problem. They want to put a crown on my root canal too. It's been fine for decades. Why do it?

There you are. So happy to see you. Sorry to hear of your computer issues still going on. I am surprised at the service you are getting from Dell. I hope you can one day buy an Apple. I have not (knock on wood) had any issues. Who knows, maybe they will send you a new computer, keep after them and tell them about the mental and physical issues this all has caused you. Take care and hope to see you soon with a brand new computer.

@LadyDuck It was the little box on my desk that monitors my web browsing (I get paid for having it installed). They had a certificate file that was corrupted; and it prevented me from accessing any websites!!!

We've missed you too.... yeah I agree they should send you a new one since they didn't fix the issue. Just installing a new copy of the operating system doesn't fix everything.

@MommyOfEli2013 If I hadn't had an extended Dell warranty, I never would have been told to call Netgear; and I never would have been directed to a higher tech group. I probably would have ended up replacing my computer!!!

It sounds like they are making every ditch effort to find the problem. I used to swear by Dell but I don't anymore. My first HP was scary but I had no issues as I did with Dell. With Dell, it just seems like there was always something not working quite right. I think they should send you a new one too but, they probably won't.
No storms here, just rain and some snow now and then. Knock on wood.

Dell really should give you a new computer. All the troubles shouldn't be happening. Usually I swear by Dell computers but your problems don't seem to be something minor.
