A sideboard to drool over

We visited the Museum of Country Life last time we were in Ireland but I enjoyed going back again last week. When I checked my photos, I discovered I’d taken many of the same objects last time. But that’s okay.
One photo I took was of this beautiful sideboard. It really is a magnificent piece. My photo from the previous visit was very out-of-focus and I hope I didn’t use it. I don't think I did.
This one is much better. On the left of the sideboard is a statuette of a pheasant and the cast-iron affair in the middle is a book-holder.
Although I love this sideboard, I probably wouldn’t want to own it. In our Australian climate, the dust would settle in all those little indentations.

It is beautiful but dust would settle in the indentations anywhere in the world.

It is very pretty. But would be a lot of work to clean

@JudyEv I am sure they have people who clean everything regularly

I would think that sideboard would be much too ornate for a country home, but what do I know?

It's very lovely. I'm sure it has been treasured in its time.

That's a beautiful sideboard, but as you said, dust accumulates in those indentations easily.
