Day 270 (Proverbs 3:33) The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just. Do you ever wonder how bad people could have it so good? They never seem to get caught. Yet, when they are, you rejoice and hope the courts throw the whole book of the law at them. Do you ever wonder when your day will come because you follow all the rules, obey the laws, and yet find yourself at the bottom of the pile? When something good happens, you celebrate because it doesn’t happen often. Solomon said God cursed the wicked but blessed the just. Whatever they seemed to get away from in life, they wouldn’t be with God. As Christians, those same thoughts run through your mind. You want to see God’s grace and favor in your life. You want to see justice for those who defy and reject God, live like there’s no tomorrow, treat people with disdain and take advantage of people’s good nature. You know that whatever they got away with in life, they wouldn’t get away with when they stepped into eternity and God’s presence. There’s one outcome for wicked people, Hell. By the same token, those who accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, who live their lives in obedience to God, will find heaven waiting for them when they step into eternity and hear Jesus say, well done, good and faithful servant. You have more going for you than those who defy Jesus Christ and live only for themselves. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for being my God. Thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus, to be my Savior and Lord. Help me live my life in obedience to You, loving You and loving others so that I will enjoy an eternity with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 10 April 2023 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

I also wondered why some bad people tend to be more successful with their bad deeds. Despite having the feeling like this, I always believe that God is not sleeping and he knows who are doing the right things or not.

Yes, He does. They can't get away with anything with God.

Reckoning will come for everyone, just like the rain falls and the sun shines on the just and unjust. We all must face the judgment.
