Mangoes are ripe and some of them are waiting for me to turn them into ice cream. I quickly browsed YouTube and found a neat little recipe for making ice cream I have all the ingredients ready - milk powder, water, mango pulp, sugar and a bit of corn flour. Ofcurse I need to refrigerate in the midst of making the ice cream and so it is a bit time consuming I have all the time too Just waiting for the right time and hope I get no visitors while I am busy with it. Hope to get back and tell you all about it when the ice cream is ready. Have you tried making ice cream at home?

I often make ice cream at home, I use dairy cream for the mango, not milk powder.

A bit of corn flour gives it as they say 'body' and it does not melt fast. I actually searched for a recipe using milk powder.

@LadyDuck I like that idea and from now on I will add corn flour to my ice creams. I have made my ice cream and eagerly waiting for it to harden in the freezer. The recipe says I should wait for sixteen hours.

@allknowing I never added corn flour, but I know they add locust bean flour in industrial ice creams to keep they soft but to avoid that they melt fast.

I have a professional ice cream maker at home and it allows me to make ice cream in an hour Usually I add mango, sugar, cream, milk and york to make mango ice cream. It tastes very well.

I made mango ice cream before and it was absolutely delicious! It didn’t have many ingredients from what I recall. I hope the recipe you make turns out wonderful! I got a phone call about an appointment today while in the middle of making dinner. I got a package delivered I had to go outside and get while in the middle of phone call earlier in the day.

Yes, many times. I make different flavors of ice cream from chocolate to fruit flavored ones. I also love making those no-bake cakes/refrigerator cakes.

My mother would make ice-cream when we lived on the farm and too far from a shop to buy ice-cream. We had a lot of milk and cream at the time. I remember having to half freeze it and beat it up a second time.

I mentioned that in my post I have to freeze the stuff for four hours and then add the mango pulp and put it in the blender for three minues and then freeze if for 16 hours. I am cooling the stuff and I will freeze it around 2 pm now
