I wouldn't touch it

Last night we had hail and thunder, lightning and rain a bit before bed time. I shut down my computer.
Again, this morning it stormed. I would not get online at all. I would not touch my computer. I worry about using it during a storm.
I slept in an extra hour this morning because I knew I would not be getting online.
I think the extra sleep was good for me but I hope we do not have storms overnight tonight.

I don't worry about storms while using my laptop. It's not plugged into the outlet while I'm online so there's no danger here.
The extra sleep probably was good for you. I'm glad you got it.

I only use the laptop as a last resort, it is old and was never very good.

@GardenGerty Oh, I see... I just started using a laptop I got last year. My old laptop has a problem with the screen, so I switched a few weeks ago.

Extra sleep is always good.
It's 10°C/50°F and supposed to get up to 19°C/67°F and is almost sunny... bright but cloud cover.
No rain until tomorrow.

Almost a year ago lightning fried my modem, my computer and my printer. I was not online when that happened, but it took a bit to get service to replace the modem and money for the computer and printer.

@GardenGerty I remember when we used to have heavy rains with lightening which would destroy electronic gadgets but now it's uncommon for that to happen
