A few years ago, we found ourselves a microwave. It was an open box thing, and it had served us well. Today, I started it like normal to heat up some food, and I heard a loud pop. The heating element blew apparently, and now, instead of going to Winn-Dixie, I we're going to wal-mart to replace it. WIth no back to school specials, we should find plenty of them. Not how I planned to spend our outing.

@kaylachan We bought a new microwave last fall and it took me a few times using it to choose the correct settings. The one we bought had more options than the older one that we had.

And to think the mike was only two years old at best. Felt like we had it a lot longer, but at least it broke before we planned on going out. So t o wal-mart we go.

We found a good one. a touch smaller than our current one, but at least this one didn't start a fire or anything.

Wal-mart is where I get my microwaves. So far; I like the microwaves I have been getting at Wal-mart.

We get ours from there, too. The one that we have now (that broke this morning) we bought at John's appliance and bedding because literally every other place we tried were sold out because of back to school.

I had a panic attack when my microwave broke. I had to rush out in the next couple of days to buy another one from Walmart. They have good prices on them. The irony, is the one I thought was broken, does work for certain items. You can't set the time, but it works on pre set items. However, I still would have needed to get one, as you can't set the time on the older one.,..but the fact that it is large makes it great for larger items.

I did. George thought for some reason we'd be spending 300 plus. It was actually only 70. I also reminded him a standard microwave isn't that expensive.

I agree, I have a real love/hate relationship with technology. Hope you found a really good sale on exactly what you wanted.
