This is Simply My Cell Phone

So, why did I bother to take a picture of my solid black cell phone? There's a story behind this, as you had probably already figured out.
I told everyone a few years ago, I don't need a cell phone. While most everyone else, was taking their cell phone everywhere they went. Some people I'd see them walking down the sidewalk or crossing the street, staring down at the screen on their cell phone(not safe at all).
I considered this an addiction, no different than my addiction to coffee with a large content of caffeine
Well, two years later, I'm definitely one who carries my cell phone almost everywhere I go. If I go to an indoor movie theatre or to a doctor's appointment, I leave my phone in the vehicle.
Yesterday, I needed to drive to East Tawas, not realizing that I'd neglected to recharge my cell phone. When I got to city park in the morning, my phone was as dead as a door nail! Yikes, this wasn't a good feeling, knowing that in case of an emergency, I was at the mercy of the world to find me some help
And God was watching over me, I'm definitely a woman who walks by a measure of faith, but not quite enough at times like this:(
So, am I depended upon my cell phone, as many others have become? Yup, you bet I have!
Jay and I communicate more by cell phone, than while we are both at home! This is not good, we are working overtime to change this flaw:)

I do depend on mine somewhat, but I also leave it in my home intentionally sometimes to get a break from it.

I never take my phone outdoors, unless I'm taking a walk or a bike ride. While driving my car, I take it along just in case of car trouble or an unexpected problem.

I only got a cell phone when I started helping my dad take care of my mother when she was diagnosed with dementia. I went from feeling like I didn’t need one to feeling weird without it. It’s just always nice to know help is a phone call away.

At first, I thought carrying a phone wasn't necessary. Now, I feel strange when it's not working!

I carry mine everywhere for security.
I always worry what if I were in a car accident, or have a negative experience while out walking.
As well when out walking I like to check the time, and track my steps, and if I am gone too long my hubs will call me and check up on me, especially if company drops in.

I've found that my cell phone is very handy. I feel safer, while out driving all by myself.

My phone goes everywhere with me, even doctors' offices... It has all the information on it the doctors will ask me about. *shrug*

@kobesbuddy Our doctor sits at a computer and types as we talk with her.

My doctor still uses a pad of paper and a pen, to jot down things that I tell her. Afterwards, she types them into the computer, I'm sure.

Occasionally I do take a photo with my phone, but not very often.

@RubyHawk After transferring a picture from my camera to the computer, I delete the first copy.

@kobesbuddy I make too many pictures. I take pictures of everything but I delete a few occasionally.

I am sort of dependent. I clock in and out at work on my phone, so I need to do that to get paid. I manage to lose it frequently, in my purse, my house, my car, at work . So I must not be that attached. We do not call each other in the house. Even when I am away, I seldom can get Bob by phone.

Jay was required to have a cell phone on him, while working for the postal service. My phone, I'm constantly looking for it and Jay jingles my number to find it!

Whenever I'm in my car traveling, a cell phone keeps me closer to help, I might need.

Now that I'm used to carrying a cell phone, it has become a convenience item.

@kobesbuddy - For me it's more to contact an ambulance for my husband and prevent the hospital.

I hate depending upon modern technology, to keep me safe. God is much more reliable!

My cell phone would spend most of its time at home, if Jay didn't remind me.

We just use our basic flip phones for emergencies or to communicate with each other when hubs is away from home.
