It took a lot of arguing with my printer this morning to get it done, but finally managed to print a copy of the manuscript for Setting Friday Free and delivered it to my primary beta reader. She's already started perusing the pages.
I will need to find out when my secondary beta readers and my editor want me to email them the file for the manuscript.
I also did some work on BG and the Princess afterward.
Other than those two things, I haven't done much today.
I hope you had a relaxing day.

I dreamed of publishing a book when I was growing up, but when I got to college it seemed so overwhelming. As a full grown adult I simply don’t think I have the ability. I admire anyone with the fortitude to put the proverbial pen to paper.

When this one does make it to the publication stage later this year, it will be the tenth novel I've published through my indie publishing company. I've become pretty good at formating and preparing the interior for printing. Covers still take me some time, but it's worth it when the book looks like it belongs on the bookstore shelf alongside the big publishers' offerings.

@RubyHawk
When I published River Dream, I paid for the Create Space staff to help with the cover and formatting. My second book, Dreams Change, I struggled with doing myself and, after much trial and error and the help of a good friend with the cover design, managed to get it published. The third book and those since have been much easier.
Since Create Space was absorbed into KDP, they've offered a free app that makes it much easier to format the interior. Covers can still be a challenge.

Not much to say about this but best of luck with your work, BTW What is that horrible-looking thing in the picture?

So how long until the final edited version is ready to be published?

It depends on how many plot holes there are to fill in, how many consistency errors need to be fixed, and the amount of rewriting to keep the plot flowing there is to be done. And there may still be some spelling and punctuation errors.
The other consideration is how soon my editor and beta readers can get to the manuscript.
Best case scenario, end of summer. Most likely scenario, in time for Christmas.

@DWDavis Not knowing anything about the publishing world, in my mind I was thinking summertime. So I was kind of in the ballpark! lol
Hope everything goes well and you get your book published sooner rather than later!
