One pot spaghetti was on tonight's menu

I found a recipe for cooking spaghetti and meat sauce in the same pot. Perfect for the Ninja Foodi, I figured. Other than the noodles sticking together because I did it a little out of order and didn't stir as frequently as suggested, it actually turned out pretty good. The addition of beef broth and chicken broth kept the flavor from being flat from the extra water. I just need a better way to break up the meat. I'm too short to reach over the pot to use my potato masher to break it up, so the pieces are bigger than they should be. Here's the recipe I used - I just didn't do sausage. I did ground beef. I'll do it again in the future. I love easy recipes. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/269004/one-pot-spaghetti-with-meat-sauce/

My daughter just told me it looked like worms when she first saw it. I was trying to tell her what we had after she gets done work.

@AmbiePam I'm still eating it. She never touched it. There's at most two servings left. I made A LOT!

Now, I'm hungry. I want spaghetti with meatballs. Thanks for the information. As they say, there are several ways to cook spaghetti and this is only one of them.

The thing with this is that there is only one pot dirtied. As an avid hater of washing dishes, I can appreciate that greatly.

@Jenaisle I added another can of pasta sauce to it because so much had absorbed. That's when it got REALLY good.

I'm surprised my daughter hasn't said anything like that. She's got a super sniffer. She can even smell what ingredients are in colognes and sauces through smell as well as taste. I've come to love this little appliance.

@RebeccasFarm Good lord, yes. She always smells things I don't notice and then complains that I don't notice them.

You're welcome. I'm happy with it, even if it isn't as perfect as on the recipe page. The flavor is good and that's most important.

@jerzgirl All that matters is the taste.

Spaghetti noodles can be a challenge to cook the tenderness preferred.

True italians wouldn't like us. We like the pasta cooked beyond 'al dente'. We don't want it mooshy, but neither do we want resistance in biting it.
