I've noticed that my fur baby typically growls when eating good food. It looks like he doesn't want to share it, so I make sure to leave him alone when he has his special meal. I was wondering if any of you out there have also observed this with your pets.
Have you ever been in this situation?
What do you do about it?

I teach mine that if I want to take it I will. It is a matter of being the pack leader

@Shavkat It's a lot easier while they are young. I even reach in the dobermans mouths if they have something I don't want them to have. It makes it easier if you ever have to give them pills too. You can open their mouth and push a pill back

I think those are just natural instincts of animals when they are in a meal. Those pets that are allowed to be pets while they are eating are just too tamed to allow and trust their masters to do that. Most animals would not trust others to be near or share with them their food.

I had a dog before and he didn't have this attitude. Actually he was a very kind dog. When I was eating and if I saw his eyes, most of the time I would share my food with him as I couldn't stand that kind of poor look
He wouldn't bark for food, just showed that kind of poor look

I also wanted to have a whisker or two. At first, I did not like them. But when I had my cat Shadow, it changed everything. It showed his sweetness and loyalty to me. Unfortunately, I lost him when we moved to a new place. The good thing is he did not dare to be grumpy when feeding him.
