So my step-dad gave us a lift to the big Tesco yesterday.
My Mum was talking to my step-dad about giving me a lift to the art class this afternoon on the way in the car. Apparently my step-dad went to look for the place yesterday morning but couldn't find it and ended up on a dirt track or something, which I'm sure isn't right. Anyway we decided I'd get a taxi, at least for the first day.
When we got there I went and put the soft plastics in the recycle receptacle and then went back into the undercover car park to get a trolley because Mum was still talking to my step-dad in the car.
We went up on the lift and first thing we got was some flowers. Then I got a card making magazine. I got the bottle of water, seaweed thins and 2 prawn layered salads.
I got some pads for my Mum. Then we got the usual fruit and veg, and yoghurts and 4 bottles of milk because I couldn't get any on Tuesday. I
I got some ready meals and scrambled Tofu, and the chick'n'less bites. Mum also got some ready meals for herself and my step-dad.
We got buns and cake and I got some maple syrup because I'd used all mine up in the muffins I made last Friday. I also got some Matcha green T-bags. Then we went to the frozen section and got frozen peas and chips and Mum got some more meals. The cauliflower bites were due in on 10 May, which was the day we were there, but they still weren't there in the chill cabinet! So I got some other things consisting of prawns instead.
While Mum was still looking at the party food, I went and got some baking paper, a small packet of tissues and some washing up liquid.
Then we went to pay. It came to just over £126. It was now still only 4:05pm and Mum had told my step-dad to come back for us at 4:30pm so I had plenty of time to swap my book at the Tesco book swap. There was a lady there putting a lot of books on. I found a book I liked and went back to where my Mum was waiting on a bench.
We went down on the lift and my step-dad wasn't there yet. It wasn't yet 4:30pm though, so that was OK. When he came we put the groceries in the boot and went home.
When we got home I unpacked the groceries and had my dinner while watching TV. Later, after I'd washed up and watched EastEnders, I went in my bedroom and phoned the taxi place to book up a taxi for this afternoon. I told him twenty five to two, and he said one thirty five? and I said yes! Then he said he'd be coming at around 1:30pm! I should get there on time. Apparently they open the doors ten minutes before the start to give us time for a cup of tea and meet each other.
Later I put out the fresh flowers and put the old flowers and offcuts into the garden waste bin.
What have you been up to?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

Looking forward to the third one this week, but nervous about taxis again!

@sharonelton Ive missed your trips to Tesco while I've been absent here. Today I went to the big Tesco and the traffic was so slow because there was what seems to have been a very serious car accident just outside, with fire engines and dozens of people in yellow high viz vests.

Thank you very much. I did enjoy the art class. You can read all about it in my Thursday's art course discussion if you want to. The taxi driver was very pleasant.
