Day 301 (Proverbs 29:6) By transgression an evil man is snared, but the righteous sings and rejoices. Evil men are everywhere. They live next door, they run businesses, and they’re in government. You cannot turn on the news without hearing about people who got caught in their wickedness. When evil men are caught, the righteous rejoice. As king, Solomon saw evil every day. They came into his court with claims, only to be found out by the words they spoke. He knew how those who feared God and lived in obedience rejoiced when evil men were caught in their wickedness. As Christians, you see and hear about the corruption of church leaders. Sin is everywhere. You cannot get away from it because Satan will try to divide God’s children and cause them to wander from His Word. You need to be always on guard. Satan waits for his opportunity to cause you to sin. (1 Peter 5:8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (NKJV) The most effective way to stop Satan is to pray and read your Bible. Study God’s Word so you will know Satan’s temptations and you can resist him. (2 Timothy 2:15) Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (NKJV) Then you can resist Satan’s temptations and he will flee. (James 4:7) Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (NKJV) Satan knows your weaknesses and will hammer at them. He will keep you from God’s Word. He will cause you to sleep when you want to pray. Jesus told His disciples to watch and pray. (Matthew 26:41) “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (NKJV) When you follow the path of righteousness, you will not slip into temptation. Satan will flee and you will rejoice. Paul told the people how they were to behave. (Philippians 4:8) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (NKJV) God will bring evil men into judgment. When He does, rejoice because evil was not allowed to take a foothold. Let’s pray: Father, I live in a sin-sick world. When I am weak, help me resist Satan with Your Word so he will flee from me. Let me rejoice when I see You bring evil men to justice. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. I'm wondering, Valerie, are you a pastor or a church leader? You're so well-versed in the Holy Bible. You don't have to answer if you don't want to. The words you share are enlightening and if they are acted out in real life there would be less evil around us. There's also a quotation that goes this way: "Evil proliferates because good men do nothing." and this is happening daily. There are times that we, ourselves, ignore the bad minor things happening around us because it would be such a bother We think, it is minor anyway. It will disappear soon. But it gets even worse Sometimes, evil comes even in beautiful forms, and it is difficult to resist.

No, I'm not a pastor or church leader. I did attend Bible college, but I didn't graduate. You're welcome. I depend on the Holy Spirit for the Bible studies. Yes, it is difficult to resist when Satan tempts us.

I have a friend who is involved in a new “spiritual “ movement that looks nothing like the Christianity she used to claim. I can’t believe what she has fallen for. What they preach has “just enough” real Biblical knowledge to keep her thinking they might be doing God’s work. I don’t know when she started listening to false prophets, but she’s not the woman who used to serve the Lord with all her heart.

It sounds like the church plant I was part of for a year. My pastor called me to tell me the church was cutting ties with them. I went back to the home church. Not everyone did. His approach is from a scholarly viewpoint. There's too much he doesn't believe.
