International Nurses Day is Today! Let's honour them!

Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing well too. The medical fraternity plays a very big role in service of society and people at large. Nurses are one of them who are seldom given credit for their work. Generally, doctors are given credit but same isn't given to nurses which is sad. The history of celebrating International Nurse Day dates back to 1953 when the idea was first proposed by Dorothy Sutherland an official with US Department of Health contacted president Dwight D Eisenhower proposing he proclaim a "Nurses Day". However, the International Council of Nurses has celebrated on May 12th since 1965. I feel the nurses play major role in giving service to patients and in their recovery. I always see to it to thank them whenever admitted in hospital as they provide lot of service to patients but are seldom appreciated for their honorary work. Let me know your thoughts about it.
