Gamma our pet rooster / myLot

Gamma lived for 12 years the only one that survived form the 5 we had as pets - Alfa, Beta, Gamma Teta and Omega. Gamma became a member of the family his favourite was the maid. He would knock at the door where she would be studying and jump on her books Preiti our pet dog and Gamma were friends too They went for strolls together and I could see them conversing too. Gamma died of old age and seeing how he suffered I vouched never more to have chickens as pets.

I never had roosters as pets, but I had a baby duck at my grandmother house. Those animals are smarter than people can imagine.

Looking at Gamma how difficult it was for him in his last days we decided never more to go for chickens as pets.

@allknowing It is sad to see our pets suffer. I have seen how much in pain was the cat of my neighbor, it was heartbreaking.

Alfa was a loner, Beta liked a particular weed, Gamma was a people's chicken, Teta and Omega were good eaters,

He would have lived longer had we noticed he was poop bound - all we had to do was to clean him.

That's a unique story for me, I have never seen anyone making chicken their pets. The people I knew who had chickens took care of them for their eggs and for meat later on.
