I was supposed to start my new job tomorrow, but then I got sick, and this thing came up about transportation I'd be using. I don't drive, and the type of transportation I planned to use not only wasn't allowed on the base, but I was told when I called the transportation people that the base "wasn't in their jurisdiction". Okay, guess they changed their rules since someone else told me someone they knew got on the base that way. I was also told by the site assistant director that "Everyone (that works there) has their own Transportaion." LOL--well I don't! So, the assistant director also told me, she was going to "Loop her supervisor into the situation." Okay. Not sure what that means--I mean, tell her supervisor about the situation, sure, but what are they going to do, I wonder? I don't know how this will turn out, but I guess I'll see. I don't see them breaking their own rules just so I can get on the base. I wish they'd told me that I needed to be able to drive in the beginning! Whatever happens, it's in the Lord's hands. I am thankful for those who have prayed for me regarding this. I guess I'll find out what happens tomorrow, and then just go forward.

I have been learning through this that God's will isn't necessarily mine, but His plan is always best.

One potential solution could be to explore alternative transportation options such as public transportation, carpooling, or hiring a ride-share service. It may also be worth speaking with HR or the hiring manager to discuss possible accommodations for your transportation needs. Another option could be to consider getting a driver's license or finding someone who could teach you how to drive.

I never expected something like that to happen.
