The Best Companion I Ever Got

Everyone has heard the line "Love At First Sight" but I lived that moment. I was sad that day and I went out. I was sitting in the parking lot near my house. I was rethinking all the bad things when outta nowhere I saw her. I am usually afraid of them but she was different. I saw that spark in her eyes. She has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. I instantly feel a strong connection with her. She tilts her head and melts my heart. I asked her if she has a home and she looked at me sadly. I immediately hugged her and told her, "You have a home now. Let's go, home" I carried her home and begged my mom to let me keep her. My mom said no because we already had a dog. But I didn't give up and kept requesting and showing her the puppy. She said yes and that was one of the happiest days of my life. Every morning I would request Belle ( our 1st dog ) to come with me to the shop but she would turn her head and sleep. As for Snoopy, she was always happy to see me. Whenever I would request her to come with me she would happily accompany me to the shop. One time there were 3 dogs who tried to bite me but Snoopy stepped in and protected me. I cannot forget that day. She was not only my friend but also the only one who never left me alone. Whenever I was sad she would run to me and cheer me up. With her by my side, I never felt alone. I was happy. Every time I think of her I cry because years have passed no one could take her place. One day my mom and I left home to attend a wedding, and when we came back home, Snoopy was gone. She was taken away by the dog catcher. Apparently, the neighbor opened our gate and Snoopy got out. I cried and begged my mom to go get her but she said it was too late. They say time heals, I don't know if I can agree with that because whenever I think of Snoopy, the pain hasn't healed at all. At that time I was 15 and I remember I would not eat properly for weeks. Many years passed but I never thought of getting another dog. I miss her so much. She was loving, caring, and protected me many times. She was my best friend who has NEVER left me ALONE. She always listened to my nonsense. That's how I fell in love at the 1st sight. She might not be here today but she will always live in my heart. She will always be remembered. Maybe Her soul is watching over me. All she ever wanted was to see me happy. Did you meet your best companion yet? Who's your Best friend?
