The latest renovation project

I seem to have a never-ending stream of renovation projects of one sort or another. I’m certainly no expert and I don’t really have the patience to do the job as it should ideally be done, but on the other hand I can’t bear to throw anything useful away! Here I have a dining chair. A table and four chairs was actually made by my Dad for his mother, but after she died he got it back. However we already had a dining table that my Mum had inherited from her parents, so Dad’s set went into a shed and stayed there for about 35 years. And in that time the shed itself started to fall apart! So now I have this set and decided to keep it.
