Giant Gold Pig

One summer we saw that one of the other cities in Latvia, Malpils was having a summertime cheese festival. It sounded interesting and the city was not far from us. So we hopped a bus for a one-day trip back and forth. All of the attractions for the festival were spread out over the city which you could easily walk through. The main square had entertainment, food, and drinks. So as we wandered about we saw a giant gold pig. Had I had a lot of beer at this moment I would have thought I was seeing things. So of course, Martin told me to go and stand by the pig to take a photo. I saw some pretty flowers there so I stood to the side of the pig. While I was standing there a black dog came and sat in front of the pig. That made me laugh because he must have seen me there and figured that was the thing to do – stand or sit by this giant pig.

@Fleura I guess so it was a long time ago and it was a cheese festival since that city made cheese in their own name Malpils cheese.
