Happy Friday myLot

We had a very nice time together just the 6 of us. I loved every single minute of it. I have not visited with our son like I did tonight in a very long time. I missed that. He joined a mens soccer league and is playing with his friends that he played with when he was just a little guy. He asked me if I would come to watch them play a game, the other guys said that it was almost like the old days when they were kids except that Momma J wasn't there to cheer them on.

@Juliaacv - I am so glad the others did not show up and you had such a wonderful time, only the 6 of you together. Your son seems so more relaxed that he enjoys doing again what we used to do when he was young. I am so glad of this.

@LadyDuck He is in a really good place again, we are both very happy for him. Next week he has to go to head office in Toronto for work. My hubby will take him to the train station on Monday afternoon, but he specially asked for me to pick him up the following night. I was always the one to pick him up from the train station when he was away at college. The train always came in late and I would never go all of the way home without offering to take him to get a quick burger, he always loved that.

We just got back home again, it was a fun time at our son's place. The guys moved the fridge in their basement to a new location. We all enjoyed our time outside together.

@CarolDM The girls have not slept well the past few nights. If I get my grocery shopping done early enough tomorrow, I may offer to come by their place and relieve them so that they can go back to bed and catch up on a couple of hours of sleep while I watch/chase the girls around. They have a new coffee table, which is much lower than their old one. The girls have discovered that if they lift their little legs on it they can crawl up on it and stand on it. Nanny doesn't tolerate that, she puts them to sit on the couch without their toys when they do that. I don't like to do that but Harper has a nasty bruise from falling off of the coffee table a little over a week ago. The girls almost cringe when they see me because I mean business, I don't know how they will feel if I show up tomorrow to let their parents sleep.

That's too funny. I'm betting those girls will give him at least 4 grand children to keep him busy.

@rebelann I hope so, then they can both retire to chase the little cuties.

I remind our son when I can that he has big shoes to fill to become the grandfather that his Dad is. He tells me that he will ask the girls not to have any children, as he would rather golf during his retirement than babysit.

How cold is cold in your standards? We went down to a couple of degrees last night, which is very cold for this time of the year.

@JudyEv Here that is cool, but enjoyably cool.

@Juliaacv I suppose around 16C and we might start saying it's cold.

I hope that you enjoy your long weekend, ours was last weekend. I had my covid booster today, all set for another 6 months.

@LindaOHio I still cough every day, and take cough medicine. I joke with my family that I have become a cough medicine junkie. The booster shots do not have any side effects, they do not even leave you with a sore arm.

@Juliaacv How are you feeling? Better I hope. I'm glad you got your booster.

I hope that Saturday isn't too bad of a day at work for you, enjoy your day on Sunday.

Our daughter-in-law will sell them online. She doesn't like those mirrors that most bathrooms have over the sink that are just plain, she likes one with a fancy frame, that looks like a pendant.

The barbeque was fun. The girls played in their little playhouse while we visited before supper. There is always so much emphasis put on that first long weekend, will it rain or will it be dry. We are the same way, but regardless there is another holiday weekend only about 5 or 6 weeks away.

I still cough more than I care to admit, but otherwise today was a good day.

It was nice. I got my 6-month covid booster so now I am good for another 6 months.

Yes, we have Victoria Day holiday to celebrate the former Queen Victoria's birthday. It was a nice holiday.

You do have hot weather, we are not that hot yet.
