Artistic pests

They are known as beetles. They chop the fronds of coconut trees giving them a shape. We use those fronds to make brooms or just to put them in the incinerator when they are fully dry and produce ash which is fed to the garden - a good manure. But some need those fronds that are woven and used as roof shelters and made into baskets. But half eaten fronds cannot be used. I clicked this photo to show how artistic these pests are

At least they seem to do a good job, I do not know which pests are now chomping all the leaves of my strawberries.
