29 May - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from sunny warm Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. Today was a good day because I didn't have anything planned.
I'm thankful for the relaxing day. It was nice to sit in the sun for a short while until my legs started to feel like they were burning up in the leggings I'm wearing.
I'm thankful I went down to the community room this morning to catch anyone coming down for exercise. One person did come down and we talked for at least half an hour. She was gone last week to her son's cottage, I think. One of her children at any rate. She had a wonderful time with them.
I'm thankful for the nap I got. An hour zipped by on wings.
I'm thankful for leftovers. No meat left in the pot roast I made yesterday, but plenty of veggies.
I'm thankful I went to my documents to decide which manuscript I'm going to complete next. I brought up several choices. I'm planning to start work on Destination Love by the end of the week. I last worked on it in April. I think I'm about halfway through that edit. Hopefully, I can have it published by the end of summer.
I'm thankful for spending time with you today and getting the notifications done this morning. I'll finish them again now.
Okay, that's my day. I have strawberry shortcake calling my name and the notifications. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and the weather was nice for it. I know the weather report I saw showed rain would wash out a lot of locations for Memorial Day plans.

I am thankful for the time spent with two of my grand kids who are at my place for vacation. They will be going back on Friday. The elder one will come back on Monday but the younger one will stay with his parents as his school will start the following week.

You have so many things to be thankful for. No one can outdo you with all of it: deciding what to write next, eating delicious food, and MyLotting.
As for me, I'm thankful for being able to wake up in the morning with the sound of my grandson's chatter and baby talk.
I'm thankful for the yummy banana cake my DIL baked.
I'm thankful for the good weather so I could go to the bank later.
As the day progresses, I know I would be thankful for many things too.

I'm thankful that I got to go the grocery store. But I'm not thankful that I forgot to get some peanut butter, but my mother found some in the cabinet so I can wait a few more weeks to get it. I'm also thankful that I got to work on my paint by number.
