Is She Lying?

My sister-in-law came over yesterday. She told us about one of her friends that needs help selling her lot because of some personal reasons. She actually really told my husband about this a few days ago. But the thing is that the lady seemed to be hiding something. Whenever my husband called her and asked her for the side plans, she changes the topic and never sends it. Today I asked my sis-in-law if she ever met or saw the lady, she was talking about. She said no. I found that strange. So I asked her to make a video call. The lady didn't answer the call and after a few minutes the lady call back but it was a voice call. She said that she is on a bus. I can tell she is lying from the background sound was too calm without any people or vehicle noise. My sis-in-law asked her to send the side plans and again she changed the topic. In my conclusion, I have a strong feeling that the lot she is trying to sell isn't really hers, she's just tryna sell it for a customer. I feel maybe she is a real estate agent with full of lies and emotional dramas to get her work done. But the question remains the same...Is she lying? Why wouldn't she send the side plans? Maybe because it will reveal the real owner's name.

This is really strange. If that lady is really your sister in law's friend, how couldn't she know if that lady (her friend) is lying or not? I think you should just ignore this idea of helping your sister in law to help her sister.

Apparently, she knew her from her mother. My sis-in-law is too naive and doesn't know much about scams. I am trying to tell her, but since she is old, she doesn't understand much for now.

@BabeSays I see. Then I guess what you need is just to stay patient with her.

She is absolutely lying, and you should not trust her.

I get the feeling it is a scam. If none of you know her then why even trust her.

Because my sis-in-law fell for it. But we are not. I feel that way too. Something is definitely fishy.

Through your description,I felt the lady was hiding sth undoubttedly, she want selling lot,but she is not explicit.I don't think it's a good idea to help such a lady.Suggest your sis-in-law keep that lady away.
