My Bike has Gone Crazy.... Accelerating without giving acceleration

I have been riding bikes for like years now, never have I ever came across something like this. Firstly, I didn't even realized there was a problem, I was busy riding and enjoying. Its only when I wanted my bike to stop and it didn't. I have been doing some research on what could be the possible reasons for this, but unable to get the perfect answer. If anyone here can help me to find the reason, and also precautions to avoid this in future.

Read the owners manual and see if you can figure it out. I have never owned an electric bike.

Is it an electric bike? Have the breaks inspected, you have a problem there.

What kind of "bike" is this? Is it an electric bike? Scooter? Motorcycle? It would help to know a bit more abut it. That must have ben a scary experience for you. I am glad you are safe and hope you figure out what was going on.
