Today is Granite's Openhouse Celebration

About one year ago, Granite's mother passed away. Sherry was a beautiful 49 years old mother of four children, who had been battling breast cancer.
Granite is their third oldest child and a senior at Tawas High School. Yes, this has been a very hard year for Brent and the kids.
Losing Sherry was the harshest reality, this family ever could have faced. Yet, they are pressing on forward with their lives, in spite of this painful loss.
This is a special graduation open house, for an extremely talented young man!
Granite plays basketball and he's a natural athlete:)

I can’t imagine how hard that must have been, especially for her husband having to carry on with their four children without her. I am so glad good things are happening for what sounds like a very deserving young man.

The oldest daughter Brooke is a school teacher, in the southern part of Michigan. Paige, is starting her third year of college, near to where her sister lives. And Chloe just finished her freshman year of high school. Brent(Dad)is doing a beautiful job, trying to cover all bases at home. Granite will be heading to college in the fall of 2023, at Central Michigan University.

How hard that must be on the kids. I'm glad they are moving on with their lives in the best way that they can. Lovely tree. Have a good weekend.

That would be so, so hard. Our niece in Luxor passed away recently, leaving behind a husband and four children ranging in age from 23 to 12. At least they're not really young children but it doesn't make it any less heartbreaking.

It is hard when children lose their parents at such a young age. I am glad Granite and his siblings are pressing on.
