cashew apple in the making

We have reached the tail end of cashew harvest and now we see a couple of them here and there. In the photo you will see three of them that will soon grow like the one you see in the next photo. Sadly we could not use the cashew apples either for eating, making juice or wine this season but the cashew seeds will be sold. Our jack fruits have still not matured and now that rains have started there will be no demand for them. I can visualise our compost pits being loaded by these fruits. When is your fruit season?

I'm not really sure about our different fruit seasons. I do love cashews though.

You must be talking of cashew nuts. They are available throughout the years.

At least your cashews grow well. You will have a harvest anyway

My residence areas are not suitable for cashewnuts plantation. Though it grows well it doesn't bear fruits but when it comes to other south district, it's quite profitable. Out here, in my areas most of us more prone to grow areca nut, bettleleaves, oranges, rubber black peppers

There is not one fruit season, because there are fruits that are specific to the different seasons. Right now we have cherries and strawberries.

There are just a few in our garden that yield throughout the year such as wild figs and sapota.

@LadyDuck You are right. Many fruits have their own time to appear.

@allknowing Figs yield in May and then in October, now the cherry trees are full of fruits. Another 15 days and the apricots are ready to be harvested and they will continue to yield until late August. September and October are grapes months, November chestnuts. In winter we have persimmons, apples, pears and pomegranates.

Why jackfruit will be out of vogue in the rainy season?
