What is happiness for you?

To some it's eating their favorite food.
To others it's being with their loved ones.
To most, it's having tons of money.
For me, it's having a baby.
I was only in high school (still a virgin) when I would constantly dream of being pregnant and having a baby. To some teens, it would have been alarming. But me? I enjoyed dreaming having a baby and being in labor that I wished I would continue dreaming about such every single night. It felt so real even though I had never experienced giving brith at all.
College (still a virgin), I continued having such dreams. And there was this particular dream that I was carrying my baby and we were on the plane traveling somewhere. It was a boy named Andre.
Those dreams that I enjoyed made me worry that maybe I couldn't have one that's why I kept dreaming about it constantly. When I turned 25, I learned I was pregnant and imagine how happy I was. All worries gone.
And I had son, but did not name him Andre. Now I'm expecting again. I'm having a beautiful girl...Sophie.

@LadyDuck It was your choice and you are happy with the choice you both made.
I wouldn't marry someone who doesn't share my dream in my life.

I remember you telling me that it was never part of your dream. I never dreamt of really being married to anybody. But I had always dreamed of having a baby.

@toniganzon I never thought about having a baby or not before I got married. My husband did not want babies, I agreed not to have.

@toniganzon but you will still have a baby and that is really good.
We have a baby in the family, the son of my hub's nephew. I help take care of him after birth since they are new parents and no one can assist them. Such a wonderful feeling when there is a baby in the house

That is nice that you would again experience something that you have been dreaming about. Obviously I would not dream that since I am a man and would never experience that. That is good that you really enjoyed your pregnancy as compared to others who dread getting pregnant because of the many complications it can have during pregnanacy.

@toniganzon I see it's just the feeling that you have in you. I thought it was for real. Anyway, yes that is true at your age it is quite delicate to be pregnant.

@rsa101 Anticipating a reborn baby is the same feeling as anticipating giving birth.

I never for a single moment thought of any complications. I wish that I was pregnant for real again though. But I'm already 45 and it's not wise to have a new baby.

Having reached a point where I welcome challenges my happiness is when I face them and come out victorious

Thank you.
I experienced anxiety when I was in my 8th month of pregnancy but I read that it was quiet normal as the mommy wanted to see the baby soon. I was too anxious to have my son.

There are many ways to be happy. Happiness is being home alone, enjoying 'me time" while doing the things you want to do, without any bother because I am alone. Happiness is time being with close friends eating out or having coffee. Happiness is something you have comfort with. It can be developed with happy thinking.

There are so many ways of being happy but only one can truly be special.

Well Toni, I am a very grounded person.
I face reality head on each day and survive. That is about the size of it.
Happiness and joy are not emotions I feel, nor have ever felt.
Perhaps a slight glimpse of them, but nothing lasting.
Loyalty and truth are more realities for me.
But I do just fine with this and accept that I am fortunate to have a bed to sleep in and a roof over our head.
Very cut and dried I am.
Not much tolerance for stupidity and foolishness.
But I respect all the thoughts and feelings of others.

I think acceptance and contentment can bring happiness to you. And being realistic is a good thing.

I never had the dream to have a baby. I told my mother I wasn't having any kids when I was 10. My happiness is being with my family and friends.

Right. I don't know anybody who's like me that would constantly dream about having a baby at a young age.
I know a lot of women want to be a mother but to actually dream constantly of having one, I don't know anybody.
