Apples on the tree

Apples do not grow where I live but when we visited Kashmir we got to see apple orchards and it was a joy to see fruit laden trees.
I even got to eat an apple off the tree in that I held on to the apple while on the tree and took a bite. The orchard owner let me do it
Unlike apples we do not get to see mangoes when they are up there They get hidden by the leaves and since the mangoes are also green they kind of camouflage. It is only when the birds drop the half eaten mangoes that we realise we will soon have to harvest them.
I am not fond of apples but seeing them on trees made my day.

Pretty is always buying apples and eating them. Apples aren't my favorite fruit but I will eat one once in a while. (I much prefer them dried rather than fresh and like them in pies.)
We had apple trees on our farm when I was a kid. Dad never had to worry about me getting into the apple tree to eat apples. I much preferred the peaches, plums and cherries that we grew.

But your Dad had to worry about the other trees which you said you liked (lol)
Never knew apples are dried. Are they sliced?

@allknowing Yes, sliced and dried. You can buy them with cinnamon on them or plain. They're delicious either way. You can also buy apples that have been freeze dried. They're good that way, too.
I didn't need to climb the trees to reach the fruit in those, though. Dad was just worried about someone climbing the trees and breaking the limbs on them.

@allknowing Not butter, peanut butter, you know the brown stuff they put on sandwiches? India has peanut butter, surely...She added the peanut butter for protein since her snacks had to last her a long time before dinner. They sell peanut butter and apples in snack kits, and while I don't like them, other people do. It's not so much just for the taste because apples are fine on their own. But when you eat so many apples over the years you try to change it up a bit. They put peanut butter on celery too, but I've never liked that either.

@AmbiePam Peanut butter has become a staple diet with me. I have been using it for years and lately I have the dark chocolate peanut butter spread. I also eat peanut candy as peanuts have loads of magnesium that helps with cramps

@LadyDuck I thought prunes were the dry version of plums.

@wolfgirl569 When I visited my nephew in the US, I saw they had an apple tree but they were infested by worms and had fallen down. I helped them pick and dump them in the garbage bag.
Do you get plenty?

What an experience to eat an apple that you plucked from a tree. I should like to experience something like that in the future. We don't grow apples here. Mangoes are abundant.

There apples looks so great. I remember long time ago there was green apple which I liked. They seemed to come from India. Unfortunately today there are no green apples any more. Perhaps people prefer to red apples and therefore nobody plant green apples.

I take apples everyday and my mangoes are quite tough. They don't break when they fall from the after they are ripe.
