I do not remember back to last Monday. Tuesday through Thursday the biggest deal was summer school. It flies by quickly. Thursday night Bob went to the first meeting of Chess Club. He says he will go again but that if you added up the ages of everyone else he was still older. I do not believe that. He thinks there were nine people there. He enjoyed it. Today he took the ruined tire off the riding lawnmower that will not mow. It could not run at all due to the ruined tire. I had my online interview today and within an hour was offered the job. It will be local, and the pay is very good. I have forty hours of online training to complete before I can officially work, though. I will work hard on that this weekend and next Monday. I mowed today. We were out of a few things and got them tonight and ate at Arby's. I will mow tomorrow, and any day it is not wet. Have a great weekend, everybody!!

It is a good thing for him to have a hobby. He is not strong enough to bowl, although he used to do that. I would like him to do it again.

It rained here twice today and then stormed for over an hour... We only have a few patches of weedy stuff that's taller than the rest of the lawn so aren't too worried if we can't mow for a few days. I'm glad Bob enjoyed the chess club meeting... Congrats on getting the new job. I hope you enjoy the work.

I am fascinated by "what makes people tick" and so I think I will enjoy working with autistic children. I have more than half of my back yard still covered in tall weeds.

@GardenGerty It took me four days to mow our entire yard a week or a week and a half ago... Kids are always interesting to talk/work with.

Yay, Heather! That is awesome! I hope if you find a few moments you can tell us about the training as it goes along. And how great that Bob enjoyed himself! To me, nine sounds like a great group. Not too big where people can't hear themselves think, but not too small to make it awkward.

With the acoustics and his hearing aids he says he had a hard time hearing the leader/instructor. He loves chess, I do not. I can play but why?

@GardenGerty You are funny. I've always thought people who play are very smart.

Congratulations, I am glad you got the job. May be we go hiking tomorrow, before the weather gets too hot.

I hope you have a lovely hike. It is supposed to be clear here, but this morning, Saturday, I see a big cloud bank to the west.

@GardenGerty We went for a walk also this afternoon, it's very warm but breezy, but I had to take a shower when we were back.

Congratulations on getting the job. I had no doubt that you would get it. I hope Bob continues with the chess club. It's a good evening out for him. You have a great weekend too! Are you off on Monday?

Yes, summer school is only three days a week. Perhaps I should jokingly say that I am always off.

Is it an online job that you will be working for. I am glad your husband enjoyed the chess game.

No it is in person, one on one. I could have more than one client if I want to. I am starting slowly, though.

Great job on nailing the interview and getting offered the job! If it could only be that easy for everybody! My week flew by in a whirlwind. Nothing really interesting happened, other than my girlfriend and I are watching all the Marvel movies in timeline order, and we knocked out another three this week. I did leave Florida yesterday to fly to Philadelphia for a big national paintball tournament this weekend, so I guess that's my exciting week.

It is good to have hobbies and share them. I am afraid my hobby is mostly working or caretaking.

@GardenGerty When I retired three years ago at the ripe old age of 50, I thought I would be enjoying the good life of rest and relaxation for the rest of my life. Nope. I’m busier now than I ever was during my “work” years.
