A handsome bantam at our house-sit

I was going to tell you all about the Pekin bantam. Now I discover the bantam in the photo is not a Pekin at all. I think they are Barbu D’Uccles which I’d never heard of till now. It seems these are available in Australia so I hope I’m right.
They are cute little birds with feathered legs and feathers on the cheeks as you can see in the photo. I can imagine the legs getting pretty mucky in muddy weather.

Never seen any bird with feathered legs. Wonder how they clean them. Cats do their own cleaning

@JudyEv Our Gamma looked like him but without feathers on his legs (lol) He was so much a part of our life He would even go upstairs on his own making us search for him.
