Typing speed

There is a big difference typing on a typewriter and a computer/laptop/mobile keyboard. I find typing on a pc keyboard is easy and I do not need to use pressure on the keys . But I make more mistakes on the pc keyboard than while using the typewriter
I had very good speed then too and with less or no mistakes. The mistakes if overlooked could not be corrected once the paper was removed from the typewriter unlike the pc keyboard as you all know how mistakes can be edited
I am famous for overlooking mistakes while using the pc keyboard and only get to see them when I get there a second time and luckily I can edit those typos
In both the cases long nails interfere. .
What's your story?

I liked my typewriter to write my stories. It seemed that the typewriter´s speed was the same as my thoughts.

I only use the keyboard on my mobile. My typing is fine but it is the 'autocorrect' I have to look out for.

I only use a Kindle and cell phone anymore, so my typing is okay. I had to take a typing test for the last job I had, but I don’t remember how fast I was. It was fairly quick, but I don’t remember the last time I used a typewriter. Maybe fooling around with my mom’s when I was ten.
Typing with long nails is something I don’t think I could do, but I guess women get used to it. It must take awhile!

I think typing on a cell phone is not as comfortable as typing on a desk top or laptop. The smart phones have a touch system now Right?
I doubt anyone can stay away making typos with long nails
