We Got a REAL Downpour, Today!

While I was fixing our supper, the wind pickup up outside and the sky turned dark gray. Within a few minutes, we were getting a REAL downpour of rain!
This wasn't a light shower, it rained hard for over twenty minute. We needed more rain, exactly what we received this evening!
It was fairly hot today, around 85 degrees F. Just before the storm hit, the temperature had dropped to 70degrees!
A sudden drop in temperature, is what causes the turbulence of clouds. A tornado is something we all dread, yet we do get these storms in Michigan, at times.
We watch the weatherman each day. They can forewarns us of any questionable weather conditions, across the state of Michigan.
June-September is considered the tornado season for us. These are the four months, that most of Michigan's tornados occur.
Hopefully, we will never have to face that kind of weather.

About six years ago, we had five tornados touch down in one night! Not one house was destroyed or a person injured. The forest was torn up, roads blocked with fallen trees and many yards were a mess.

@AmbiePam And all five tornados traveled across a major highway, then out onto Lake Huron. It was a miracle, not one person was injured!

I live in hurricane territory and it's hurricane season until November. Looks like we are heading into a downpour any minute. It was sunny all day but now dark clouds have moved in. A thunderstorm was predicted for today but it was supposed to happen earlier.

Those big storms entered western Ohio, broke up and went north. We got about 3 drops of rain. We're still hoping to get some. Have a good week.
