Do Age Gaps Matter ?

Where there is deep love, a huge age gap between partners in marriage may not matter much.
Actress Joan Collins who is now 88 recetly celebrated two decades of marriage to 56- year- old hubby Percy. That is a 32 year age gap.
He is her fifth husband and she says the marriage is a happy one.
She also revealed one of the secrets of a happy marriage - separate bathrooms.
For a very long time l have been thinking that would be a very good idea.
What do you think ?

Both of my ex-wives were a number of years older than me. The difference in age never mattered... and wasn't even brought up in conversation with either of them.

@Kandae11 But sometimes it still does matter. My second wife didn't like that I was younger than her... We never discussed it but she brought it up with my friends all the time.

@DaddyEvil That is a problem right there. Maybe your interests, hobbies were not the same as hers, because of the age difference.

I don't think age matters. My Dad's best friend is in his early 90s and has been married to his second wife for many years. I think the age difference is around 20 years. They are happy. I've always admired them.

These days those huge age gaps don't seem to matter as much as it did years ago.

I dont know. I am only 2 years older than my wife. Always we feel the love is just growing and growing

No I don't think an age gab should matter if you truly love the person. Age is just a number.

Yes, I think they matter. Studies have shown the greater the age gap between couples the more likely a divorce..I don't think a few years matter...but 10,20.30 something to think about.

I'm glad they survived that long despite the age gap. I learned through observation that age gaps do matter in couples, especially if the age gap is so huge.
Having separate bathrooms could be a good suggestion, but I haven't confirmed this yet myself, so I'm still skeptical.
