More alarmed than ever before

No, nothing happened. I finally finished installing the window sensors for our security system. Now, there is no way for anyone to enter our home without setting off the alarm system and alerting the security company, and, if I'm home, me.
I've also been working on some plumbing issues. The flow valve apparatus in the toilet tank in the guest bedroom stopped flowing and had to be replaced. For reasons I don't remember, we had a replacement on hand. This was an easy fix and took less than 10 minutes. Don't tell K. I also adjusted the chain in the master bathroom and realized the stopper needs to be replaced. It's on order.
After the plumbing repairs, I cleaned the bathrooms. That's my normal Tuesday chore.
So much for enjoying the Holiday. I guess now that I'm retired, there are no holidays. Or should I look at it as if every day is a holiday?

I have enjoyed at home working on sharing good news stories on this site as well as completing surveys later on under a warm day without any heatwave warnings today.

I have had a productive day! I finished transferring all 56 gigs or so of photos to the flash drive. Now to sort through them and wipe off the duplicates.
I went to eat, but there was a downpour in the east end so I didn’t walk. When I got home it was too muggy. I’ll hit the track at the gym tomorrow, I hope.
Hope you get a big whopping refund on your homeowners insurance for having the security system like I got…less than ten bucks.

You should definitely look at every day like a holiday, Glad you were able to install the window sensors. I feel a sense of accomplishment with everything I get done online each day,

Every day is a holiday. No one can tell you when you should go to bed and when you should get up. No one can tell you what you should do every day. I like retirement. Enjoy your day. Kudos for cleaning the bathrooms. We can't do that anymore; so we have a housekeeper (my husband's second cousin).

Today feels like it's dragging because of all the ups and downs I had today. Needless to say I am hoping tomorrow is a new day. We aren't going to let today's mishaps get us down.

That must be a great feeling to have your security set. We are moving to our home next month and looking into what's are best security to buy.
