Day 362 (Ezekiel 3:10-14) Moreover, He said to me, “Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears. And go, get to the captives, to the children of your people, and speak to them and tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD,’ whether they hear, or whether they refuse.” Then the Spirit lifted me, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice, “Blessed is the glory of the LORD from His place!” I also heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, the noise of the wheels beside them, and a great thunderous noise. So, the Spirit lifted me and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me. Have you acted on the visions or dreams you had when you slept? Did you look for an explanation of your dreams? Ezekiel wasn’t dreaming. He wasn’t sleeping. He was by the Chebar River among the captives when God spoke to Him. His vision showed him four living creatures. Each had four faces, the face of a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle. They each had hands and wings touching each other. Their appearance was of burning bronze with eyes all around a wheel within a wheel. God spoke to him from the wheel and told him to go to the captives of Israel and speak what He told him. Then the four living creatures proclaimed, “Blessed is the glory of the LORD from His place.” Many interpretations call this Ezekiel’s spaceship. However, it is a vision Ezekiel saw, and when God told him to eat the scroll, He gave him and go to the children of Israel with the words He gave him, the four creatures blessed God. As Christians, you are to bless God, not only when He speaks to you, but all the time. You are to eat the scroll, His Word, and tell others what you read. God’s Word wasn’t only to the prophets who prophesied to the people about God’s intentions for them, but His Word is for us today. God’s Word is living and active. When you eat it, it sinks deep into your soul, so that the only thing you can do is tell others what God told you. God told Ezekiel to go to His people. God tells you to go to people too and tell them what God’s Word says. When you do, you will know God’s blessing in your life because you will bless God and give Him glory as the four living creatures did. Many times, as Christians, God tells you to go to other Christians. Disobedient Christians who rebelled against God and went their own way. He doesn’t always call you to go to people who don’t know Him, but often to those who turned away from Him. When He does, God’s Word will be in you. You only need to say what He tells you. Are you willing to eat the scroll and go to God’s people? Let’s pray: Father, let Your Word sink deep into my soul so that I can speak Your Word to those who need to return to You.
