My back said hello! Back surgery is not perfect!

I got up to make my breakfast and suddenly ( as in many times) my back decided to act up.
Over 25 years ago I had back surgery. It was an urgent matter. I could not even go to bed and had to sleep seated on a sofa that my husband brought to our bedroom.
The surgery was a success. When I was at the hospital, 2 days after the procedure, there was a big earthquake and I literally ran out of bed. I had not been able to walk for a long time.
All the nurses were extremelly helpful. I had shared with them my cookies and my magazines before so they were friends.
But every once in a while, for no reason at all, my back remembers that it does not have 2 discs in my lower backbone. The bones touch or pinch a nerve and I´m in pain for some days.
Now it is such a moment. I don´t know what I did wrong. I´m with the grain heater in my back, mylotting and looking the NCIS marathon with an eye. I brought my coffee to my night table and ate some cheese. I´ll hungry but I don´t want to get up.
I hope that all the pain relievers I´m now taking for arthritis help. I´m sure that pills don´t "know" that they have to go straight to my knees.
I´m watching on TV a wonder pill just for my pain that is made with snail protein. I´d buy it but the price is outrageous and I know that all of those pills "as seen on TV" are fake. They are are real as the inheritance I have in Nigeria.
I´ll wait a bit before starting my day. See you friends. I´ll mylot.

This is terrible, not having two vertebrae in your back. Any kind of pain isn't fair, it can spoil your enjoyment.

@kobesbuddy I had to have 2 discs out of my lower back over 25 years ago. They were pinching my nerves as they were completly destroyed.

I agree. And I have to thank medicine for it. If I had lived 50 years before, I probably would be in a wheel chair.

@allknowing You learn what is best for your body. In my case today, the warm heater on the back did it.

@marguicha You may be knowing I too had an accident a few years ago and I still wear a belt when I am travelling.

I hope your back feels much better soon. They do say that many pills offer miracle relief but it is often only a matter of people trying to make money. This may not be what you are looking for but thought I might send this link anyway.

I have back aches once in a while because in surgery doctors took away 2 crushed discs between the vertebrae. Pills will help out with pain until everything goes back to normal. I´m feeling better now thanks to the heater in my back.

The last time it started to hurt a lot when I turned to get the toilet paper in the bathroom. But this time it is much better sooner.

@JudyEv I started to love dishwashers when I had guests. And I only scrub a couple of clothes before placing them in the washing machine.

@marguicha Mine doesn't like me emptying the dishwasher. I have to be careful when I turn too.

I'm sorry that your back is bothering you. Hubby's minor back surgery didn't help him at all. Try and have a good day.

My surgery was 20 years ago and it was a good one. The surgeon took out 2 crushed discs from the lower vertebrae (L4 and L5) and,of course, once in a while the lack of discs makes a bone pinch a nerve. But on the whole, it is fine.

It will. I have become aware that it can happen at any time. And it will last at the most for a couple of days.
