As those who know me are aware I like vampires. I enjoy all the movies but my favorite is Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, and Angel. I tend to watch an episode or two nearly every evening to help bring on relaxation and sleep. I enjoy the comradery and the silly dialogue. My favorite character is Willow but I really have enjoyed Spike's extensive activities on both shows. He has really been through it and I find myself thinking about the extent of his treatment on the show. In the beginning, he was a socially inept poet in love with a woman who felt she was far above him socially and wanted nothing to do with him. He meets up with Angel, is made a vamp, he kills his mother, and sires Drucilla who becomes his longtime inamorata. They travel together and love each other for hundreds of years. He kills two slayers and is a real badass. Then Dru goes off with some demon and brakes his heart. He stays in Sunnydale and is captured by the initiative inserts a chip in his brain so he can't bite anyone without horrible, painful headaches. And all the time he is trying to kill Buffy and she beats him to a pulp more than once. He is always there for her when she needs someone strong to protect Dawn when she is off on one of her battles. He realizes he loves Buffy and they have a bit of a thing for a short time until Buffy spurns him and he rapes her. He travels to Tibet to fight whatever baddy he has to to get his soul back. At first Buffy doesn't believe he's nolonger a vampire. It all ends when he helps Buffy save the world and is incinerated. This is when he shows up at Wolfram and Hart to haunt Angel and his crew. He is used by a former lawyer of the agency in his attempt to bring Angel down and then becomes a part of Angel's crew. But, poor Spike never really knows any happiness. Just knocked down, beaten to a pulp, and despised by Buffy, Xander, and Angel.

I was sad when Buffy ended and everyone became vampires on the last show.

Spike saved the world and the town collapsed. I don't recall everyone becoming vamps.
