Day 364
(Ezekiel 25:1-7) The word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Son of man, set your face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them. Say to the Ammonites, ‘Hear the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD, “Because you said, ‘Aha!’ against My sanctuary when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel when it was desolate, and against the house of Judah when they went into captivity, indeed, therefore, I will deliver you as a possession to the men of the East, and they will set their encampments among you and make their dwellings among you; they will eat your fruit, and drink your milk. I will make Rabbah a stable for camels and Ammon a resting place for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD.” ‘For thus says the Lord GOD, “Because you clapped your hands, stamped your feet, and rejoiced in heart with all your disdain for the land of Israel, indeed, therefore, I will stretch out My hand against you, and give you as plunder to the nations; I will cut you off from the people, and I will cause you to perish from the countries; I will destroy you, and you will know that I am the LORD.”
Do you laugh at other people’s trouble and rejoice when bad things happen to them? Be careful, you might find yourself in the same situation.
God told Ezekiel to prophesy against the Ammonites because they rejoiced when Israel went into captivity. He told them He would wipe them out as a nation.
In searching for information about Ammon, the country no longer exists. There is no information about Ammon after the second century A.D. God kept His promise.
As Christians, when you hear about other people’s trouble, you need to pray for them, not rejoice over their troubles. When you do, God won’t bring trouble your way as He did with those countries who rejoiced in Israel’s troubles. You don’t know why they are going through the troubles they experience. The media often leads people to say and do things against people going through trouble. They will make it look like they deserve the worst punishment ever. Don’t believe the media. Pray. It’s the only thing that will keep God from bringing trouble your way. Then rejoice because God will always take care of you.
Let’s pray: Father, help me to look for the good in people and pray when they face unwarranted trouble. Only You know the reasons why people face trouble. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Even when I have been treated horribly, I never wished bad things would happen to those people. However, in one case something did. I wonder if it was Karma? Enjoy your day.
