We Had Some Heavy Rain Last Night

I woke up early this morning, hearing torrents of rain pouring down. This is a blessing, we've needed showers badly for the past four months.
It's better late than never at all! And when it rains during the night, I love to snuggle in my warm covers and listen:)
I didn't want to get up to use the bathroom, but nature doesn't give me a choice. Anyway, I settled back into my blankets and fell back asleep.
Usually, I toss and turn for a while, to get comfortable. Nope, this didn't happen:) Cooler weather makes for some very restful sleep

@just4him From what I heard, stormy weather from Michigan caused tornados in Chicago! They touched down and then headed over Lake Michigan
Night before last, we had tornado warnings south of Tawas. They had spotted rotating clouds with a high risk of forming a tornado. It finally ended up over Chicago!

I think we might get some of those big rains this weekend. It probably won't cool things off alot though. Today seems not a bad day though.

@kobesbuddy Sounds great to me. The inside temperature is supposedly 80 here in the living room, but is probably lower in the bdrm with the windows open. Whatever, like I said with the humidity a bit lower it feels comfortable.

@kobesbuddy Most of the time I am in tee shirt and shorts. I realised the other day that I still have tan lines on my feet from wearing sandals last year!

Those storms that went through Michigan were the ones that produced the tornadoes in Chicago before crossing the Lake. Glad they were tamer by the time they got to you!!!

A couple years ago, we had five tornadoes touch down, ten miles south of our home. Not one person was injured, nor was one home destroyed!
