And getting ready for this trip means attaching the honey cart to the back of the camper as shown in the photo because the sites at Pocahontas State Park in Virginia have electric and water hookups but not sewer. I will also need to ensure the hitch for the honey cart is in the truck before we leave. That is on my task list. This morning, I also plugged the camper into the house power to charge the battery and allow the fridge and freezer to get cold. We will switch them to gas before we hit the road. In addition, I installed new quick disconnect fittings on the water hoses. The new fittings are brass rather than plastic. The old fittings were starting to leak. These tasks were in addition to my regular Thursday chore of doing the laundry. Needless to say, I haven't gotten any writing done today. I plan to do a lot this weekend and next week in between our camping activities. How is/was your Thursday?

Today, the traveling and setup, won't be much fun. The fun starts tomorrow with some early morning hiking before the day gets too hot.

Honey cart - what a cute name for it! We're off with the caravan later today too but we'll only be away one night.

Our plan is to try and go for one week a month during the season now that I'm retired. Some campgrounds will be close enough for K to commute to work. Others, as long as we have cell service and can hot spot the WiFi, she can work from remotely.

Your Thursday was definitely more productive than mine. It sounds like so much fun to have an RV, and I hope your trip is an absolute blast.

We graduated from tents to RVs about ten years ago and have enjoyed it. We started with a popup, moved to a hybrid, and now have a 5th wheel. We plan for this to be our last RV and our rolling retirement home.

Mine’s fine. I had lunch, got some drain de-clogger, and I’m reading this, glad you weren’t a doomsday prepper but a camping prepper.

What the doomsday preppers don't realize is that if Doomsday really comes, no amount of prep is going to save them.

Right now it looks to be hot with occasional showers and thunderstorms. We're prepared for that.
