Day 2 (Ezekiel 44:28-31) “It will be, regarding their inheritance, that I am their inheritance. You will give them no possession in Israel, for I am their possession. They will eat the grain offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering; every dedicated thing in Israel will be theirs. The best of all first fruits of any kind, and every sacrifice of any kind from all your sacrifices, will be the priest’s; also, you will give to the priest the first of your ground meal, to cause a blessing to rest on your house. The priests will not eat anything, bird or beast, which died naturally or was torn by wild beasts. When a family member dies, the remaining family members receive an inheritance. Yet many times to receive an inheritance the family members go to the courts to claim their right to the inheritance. As you saw when Israel came out of Egypt to the Promised Land, God gave no inheritance to the tribe of Levi because He was their inheritance. So, it will be in the latter days when the temple comes down from heaven. God is the inheritance of the priests to serve before Him in the temple. To receive a blessing, the people gave the priests the first fruits of their crops and flocks. Many Christians don’t realize the power of the tithe. They hear the rebuke of unbelievers about throwing away their money to the church especially when that church is wealthy, and they withhold their tithe or give a token. Your blessing is in your tithe. When you give your tithe, you give to God to receive His blessing on your life. Jesus told the people what would happen when they gave to God. (Luke 6:38) “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (NKJV) God told the people what He would do when they gave Him their tithe. (Malachi 3:7-12) “Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD of hosts. “But you said, ‘In what way shall we return?’ Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor will the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the LORD of hosts; “And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts. Do you want God’s blessing in your life? Give your tithe, not a token and watch God bless you in ways you didn’t think possible. Let’s pray: Father, let Your blessing rest on me as I give my tithe to You, not withholding my hand because the world says I’m throwing away my tithe, but listening to You and hearing Your Word for my life to receive Your blessing. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 15 July 2023 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

A lot of pastors are afraid to talk about tithing.

I was challenged when I was a young believer to tithe and watch God take care of me. At first, I was skeptical but He has always provided for me. Thankful for learning that lesson early on my journey with him.

Yes. The tithe is part of the Law God gave to Moses.
