Connectivity Issues

After 3 days of decent WiFi using our Jet Pack hotspot, this afternoon we had some issues. Rebooting the Jet Pack fixed them for the moment. At least, I think it did. I'm working off of my phone's hotspot right now. We're going to look into ways to improve our coverage and connectivity while on the road short of buying a satellite system for the rig. The cost of the equipment and the rig is not something we're ready to absorb yet. Today was hot and sunny here. I haven't spent much time outside. One long walk with Ace, one trip to the dump station with the honey cart, and one trip to town for lunch and a stop at the hardware store for batteries and some 3M hanging thingies K wanted for the camper. I installed the broom holder she got. As soon as she can remember where she put the paper towel holder she got the other hangers for, I'll put it up. Other than that, I've been working on my short story for my seminar. Each time I go over it, I find more I can cut away to make it cleaner and tighter. I also pulled up another story I want to revise. Because of some issues with Grammarly yesterday, I downloaded the free version of ProWritingAid. For fun, I have MS Editor, Grammarly, and ProWritingAid all running on the second story. It seems Grammarly and ProWritingAid have some disagreements about comma placement. I've left them to fight it out. Some of our club members have started arriving. We'll be hanging out with them tomorrow. There's supposed to be a Shoney's somewhere nearby. Maybe we'll all go out to breakfast. How is/was your Tuesday?

It was a quiet day here. I didn't go outside, either. RealFeel of 103F,

Ick. Our RealFeel was in the upper 90s. Not as hot as they predicted.

@DWDavis You'd be welcome to stop by here and help me mow the yard. Our temp tomorrow is supposed to be 99F... I don't even want to think what the RealFeel will reach.

Are you familiar with using a cell phone as a WiFi router for connecting to the internet? A JetPack is a device that does the same thing, only better.

@Ronrybs The state parks we enjoy camping in do not have WiFi in the campground, so we have to bring our own. The JetPack and our cell phones usually suffice.

@DWDavis Never tried a cell phone as a router, but know it can be done. Sounds a bit like a dongle, which I used to use

It was an early morning. We took Chilly to the vet, and they decided he had to be knocked out to get his blood because he wanted to move too much. We saw that coming.

Grammarly and I argue often. My wife thinks it's hilarious. Right now, I'm mad at them because I don't like the floating icon thingy. I want my Word add-in back and can't get it.

@BelleStarr There are so many Grammarly-esque apps out there now, it's hard to pick the best one.

Comma placement can be a nightmare. It seems no two books agree let alone apps like Grammarly, etc.

Commas are my kryptonite. Just ask my first editor. She took my box of commas away from me after reading the manuscript of River Dream.

@DWDavis I think the hard part is that fashions change, even in the world of grammar.

I'm pretty good with grammar, punctuation and spelling if you ever have a question. Glad you are enjoying yourselves. Enjoy your day. My Tuesday was OK...nothing special.
