The spoils from our quiz night

The image shows our spoils from the quiz night. We actually played off for second and third prize and this was the result. Not bad for third place, is it? The eight at the table considered themselves very lucky to do so well. There were ten tables, each of eight people. The questions were divided into eight sections with ten questions in each. The first section was entitled ‘Hats’ so the questions were all about hats. Other sections included current affairs, sport, street names in our area, food, etc. An interesting one had every answer beginning with ‘man’. So that’s the quiz night over and it wasn’t as embarrassing as we thought it might be. I shouldn’t need to buy chocolates for a while either.

We were lucky that the questions were more suited to older people. The last quiz we went to was aimed at a younger audience and we had no idea about most of the questions.

We had a school deputy principal on the table which helped and one friend is very well read which was an advantage in the book, legends and myths section.
