An evening trip into the city

The photo has nothing to do with the text but is of the ‘family’ at our last house-sit.
Vince and I decided to go to the city to see a ‘Lightscape’ show in King’s Park.
King’s Park consists of 400 hectares (988 acres) of grassed parkland, botanical gardens and natural bushland on Mount Eliza. Natural bushland comprises two thirds of the total area. Our forefathers had huge insight to keep so much natural bush in the middle of the city where everyone can enjoy it.
A friend recommended the Lightscape on Facebook and we decided to go. Being a bit new to city living and a bit naïve, we didn’t check out the event before we left. We drove to the railway station, caught a train into Perth (free on Sundays) then a clipper bus to King’s Park (again free) and found our way to the entrance.
That’s when we discovered it wasn’t free as we had thought but actually quite expensive. If we’d googled it beforehand we might not have gone but in the end it was well worth the money.

Love the photo. I'm sorry that the Lightscape show was so expensive; but I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful day.

That big black cat is bigger that the dogs.
What a shame that it was expensive. I am careful now with the events.
We received the invitation to assist at the speech of our Mayor for the the Swiss National Day (August 1st).
The invitation says "a drink with appetizers will follow".... good, but nowhere it is mentioned FREE. I think we wills stay home.
