Taking a Drive to the Recycle Center

Yesterday, Jay brought an old washer and two broken dryers home. Someone wanted to get rid of them, so we're driving to the recycle center in Bay City, Mi. It's a hot day right around 85 degrees F this afternoon, which is exceedingly hot for our location. Yes, it's a warm one but, I refuse to complain. This is the type of weather that we usually face every summer, in July. We're suppose to get a downpour of rain tonight, which will cool it off again. Up-Down-Up-Down, that's probably what's considered normal at this time! If I sweat a lot, I guess that's normal also, which I'm not:) Photo: Mine

It has been fairly mild here and now it is raining. There are two recycling sites here, but one is open only on weekends. You can also arrange for large item collection, but I think you have to pay for that

It's good that Jay collects these things and they don't end up getting dumped somewhere. Enjoy your day.

These things would go somewhere in a land fill. That's an awful thought!

I’m glad he’s taking them to be recycled. Too many people just dump them somewhere, and don’t care they are making the world a dumping ground. You and Jay remind me of how my parents just liked being together. It didn’t matter what they were doing, they just enjoyed each other’s company.

And what's funny, I enjoy going to that recycle center! The workers are very friendly and they treat us well:) We made $48 this time around!

We sometimes have roadside pickup which is useful. People throw out all sorts of stuff when their street is nominated.

People around here do this one day a week. Others load it in a truck and take it home, to have it recycled.

We always help each other, as a husband/wife relationship.
